Le palan manuel, équipé d'une chaîne, est destiné à soulever des charges verticalement (jusqu'à 5 tonnes généralement, excepté quelques modèles allant jusqu'à 6, 10, voire 20 tonnes). D'encombrement très réduit, il est utilisé sur les chantiers industriels dans les endroits dépourvus d'électricité. Pour une sécurité maximale, les crochets et les linguets de sécurité de ce palan s'ouvrent progressivement en cas de surcharge sans jamais se casser. Les palans électriques s'utilisent préférentiellement dans les environnements de fabrication industrielle. Capables de soulever des charges importantes sans céder, avec leurs boîtiers, ils ne craignent pas les éclaboussures de graisse ou d'eau. Manutan vous propose toute une gamme de palans électriques 2 brins sur chariot, à batterie ou à brancher sur secteur, etc. La plupart soulèvent des charges de 500 kg et permettent une grande précision de manœuvre. Les mini-palans sont très pratiques, puisqu'ils peuvent, sans difficulté, s'intégrer à votre caisse à outils. Très léger et compact, le mini-palan est idéal pour vos interventions nomades dans les espaces réduits. Il peut soulever jusqu'à 250 kg.

Les palans à levier sont tout spécialement conçus pour tirer, lever, positionner et ajuster une charge allant jusqu'à 6 tonnes en atelier et/ou sur chantier. Ce type de palan professionnel, facile à manœuvrer, est incontournable partout où l'espace et la hauteur d'accrochage sont limités. Ils sont réputés pour leur robustesse. Les palans pneumatiques sont des modèles de faible poids mais adaptés aux applications industrielles exigeantes. Équipés d'une chaîne en acier inoxydable ou en aluminium, ils restent simples à utiliser. Les palans pneumatiques présentent l'avantage d'être flexibles (en poste fixe ou mobile), rapides et ils permettent une grande précision dans le positionnement des charges. Le chariot porte-palan est quant à lui incontournable pour déplacer les charges une fois qu'elles ont été soulevées. En fonction des déplacements à effectuer, vous choisirez un chariot libre ou électrique.
